Development of a Common Collaboration Process using new technology, in BP’s Azerbaijan Business Unit.
The Brief
With an increasing need to reduce costs across the asset, the B.U. Management team wanted to make sure that existing technology was being properly used, as well as to rollout some new tools, including an online document management system.
The brief was to increase productivity, reduce decision-making time and change the working behaviours of a split-site team, while at the same time accommodating the required cost savings.
The Result
The successful execution of this project resulted in an 80% increase in awareness of the collaboration tools & practices, as well as significant cost savings by means of reduced travel and decision-making time.
The technology was enthusiastically accepted and adopted by all the teams and processes were adopted which ensured a consistent working practice across all B.U. sites.
The enhanced support model ensured on-going confidence and reassurance for the team members.
